Using Campus Computers: How to Safely Log Out

Because our website stores your active session locally on the device you are using, it is incredibly important to manage your account security when using shared computers in the URS campus library or computer labs.
When you log in, your profile details are saved to that specific browser. This is why you don't have to log in every single time you open a new tab. However, if you leave the computer without logging out, the next student who uses that browser will have access to your BTLED profile, event tickets, and digital ID.
If you accidentally left your account logged in on a campus computer and are worried about your privacy, please let our technical team know so we can monitor for any unauthorized event registrations under your name:

- Click on Profile in the top navigation bar.
- Select Logout from the dropdown menu.
- A confirmation box will appear. Click OK to completely wipe your session data from the device.
- The navigation bar will immediately revert to showing a "Login" button, confirming you are safely logged out.
