Does the BTLED Organization Charge Membership Fees?

Last Update a month ago

A common question we receive from students is whether they need to pay regular dues or cover the operational costs of our digital platforms. Here is a complete breakdown of our funding structure:
Are there any membership fees?

No. The BTLED Organization does not collect mandatory membership fees or semester dues from students. We believe every student should have full access to our community and resources without financial barriers.

How does the organization fund its events and projects?
Instead of burdening students with fees, our operations are strictly funded through:
  • Income Generating Projects (IGPs): Merchandise sales, campus booths, and official fundraising activities.
  • Subsidies & Sponsorships: Support from USSG or sponsors.
  • Voluntary Donations: Contributions from alumni, officers, or supporters.

Why does the website sometimes go down?
To keep our organization running without collecting fees, we rely entirely on free hosting platforms for this website and our databases. While this saves us significant money that we can redirect into actual student events, the trade-off is that free hosting services have limitations. This is why you might occasionally experience slow load times or temporary server downtimes.
